SRA-Online® Internet Multi-Source Feedback Surveys

Thank you for your interest in Survey Research Associates and our multi-source feedback services. Our SRA-ONLINE® Internet Surveys will provide a safe and secure way for raters to provide anonymous feedback to leaders/managers in your corporation. Raters are assured that no one in the firm will ever see their individual responses. Feedback recipients (or the company) can control who provides feedback to them by issuing unique code numbers (PIN's). Anonymity is maintained because the PIN identifies the feedback recipient, not the feedback provider.

There are several advantages to this methodology:

 There is no longer a need to distribute paper surveys to raters or distribute and retrieve diskettes. This saves both resources and time.

 Raters will essentially be typing their own comments and eliminating all transcription errors caused by poor handwriting and the use of acronyms.

 We can tailor the set of items to the specific rater group (e.g., peers, direct reports, coaches, customers). For example, customer raters could be presented with just those items that they were in a position to observe. This improves the quality of the data and is more respectful of customers' time.

 It is as easy to collect data internationally as it is domestically.

 We can pass the cost savings on to organizations. Assuming the process is rolled out to the entire organization, the on-going cost for data collection and reports would be as little as $45US per feedback recipient.

We currently provide feedback recipients with an extensive printed color report detailing their specific results and how those results compare to the "norm" for their corporation. Besides item by item results, we also include an executive summary showing the individual's five greatest strengths that he or she should capitalize on and the five areas in which he or she needs to focus developmental efforts. With the second and subsequent administrations of the survey there is also a section showing the historical trend over time for that individual. For larger organizations we usually develop a series of norms based on level (e.g., upper, middle, lower management) and/or job function (e.g., sales, line management). This helps ensure that the recipient has the most appropriate comparison group. We usually deliver these reports within two to three weeks of the cut-off date (the date by which all survey submissions must be made), including developing and updating the norm(s) that appear on the reports. We currently advise our clients to use hardcopy rather than online reports for a number of reasons (e.g., portability, ease of use, security), that we would be happy to discuss further with you. There is a one-time charge for adapting our report software to your items and for programming the web pages (approximately $4500).

Follow-up activities are very important and we offer not only group session facilitation but also train-the-trainer sessions for clients such as Lucent Technologies. Per diem rates for group sessions are $1500US, while train-the-trainer sessions are billed at a higher rate of $2250US. Any development time required to adapt the training to the specifics for your firm would be billed based on the actual number of hours at the standard $1500US per diem).

We have an extensive bank of items that have been used in companies such as AT&T, Deloitte & Touche, Cendant Corporation, Merrill Lynch, and Lucent Technologies. Although we will offer an off-the-shelf survey if desired, we feel that it is far better if the survey is adapted to the client's corporate culture, values, and competencies while being aligned with existing performance management/performance feedback processes. This maximizes relevance to the raters, acceptance by management, and provides the highest quality feedback to the recipients - the type that leads to real organizational change. The normal professional per diem rate of $1500US would apply to this work.
